Most Reverend Lionel Fanthorpe B.A., FCP, Cert. Ed. | MEDIA STUDIES, RELIGIOUS STUDIES

Lionel Fanthorpe has a B.A. in Arts & Social Sciences from the OU and a Certificate in Education from the Institute of Education, Cambridge. He was ordained as a Priest in the Anglican Church in Wales in 1987. Over the years Lionel has worked as a journalist, free-lance teacher of almost any subject and level one cares to name, TV and radio presenter, scriptwriter, TV personality (the “Motor-Cycling Priest”), a prolific Author with many published works to his name on various topics, but, especially, the scientific understanding of anomalous phenomena. His posts of Senior Responsibility include four years spent as Deputy Head at Helleston High in Norwich and ten years as Headmaster of Glyn Derw in Ely. Lionel is, in addition, a full Member of Equity, President of a charity for children with special needs called “Jumbo”, Chaplain of The Blue Knights [the Police Motor Cyclists` Association], a member of MENSA and a qualified weight-lifter.
